Grievance Redress Mechanism for Migrant Workers in Ghana
A dedicated digital Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM) case management system – live at cases.glmis.gov.gh is now operational to help migrant workers in Ghana report labour violations and track resolutions efficiently.

The platform provides a structured, confidential workflow for complaint intake, assessment, referral, mediation, and follow‑up. Migrant workers can submit grievances related to non‑payment of wages, unsafe working conditions, contract breaches, recruitment deception, harassment, or abuse – all through a secure digital interface.

How the Grievance Redress Mechanism helps migrant workers?
Confidential complaint lodgement that protects worker identity and reduces retaliation risks.
Automated case referral to the appropriate authority (Labour Department, National Labour Commission, or law enforcement) based on grievance type.

Mediation and resolution tracking with real‑time status updates.
Follow‑up &    Resolution– from wage recovery to contract correction, all recorded within the system.
Workers are guided step by step: record evidence, submit via the platform, receive a case reference, participate in resolution processes, and follow up online.

By digitising case workflows from intake to closure, Ghana’s GRM case management system ensures transparency, accountability, and faster access to justice for migrant workers.
